An amazing half day insight to Gran Canaria’s stunning north area. Explore cobblestone streets, fishing villages, and agriculture. Taste some local wine and fresh snacks. This popular tour includes wine tasting starts your venture with a remarkable view of Gran Canaria’s capital city. Departing Las Palmas, heading towards the Altavista viewpoint, you’ll be presented with far-reaching panoramas across the city and down to the beautiful port.

Once you have made the most of the photo opportunities, your local professional guide will take you on a picturesque journey to the town of Arucas, recognized as the banana capital of Gran Canaria. Arucas is the 2nd largest city on the island and is famed for its astounding white buildings, botanical gardens, the production of bananas and its huge 20th century parish church.

One of the main highlights of this town is The Parish Church of San Juan Bautista built in 1909 by local master masons. We then travel west from Arucas although still in the North to the Agaete area with its collection of pretty fishing villages. Puerto de las Nieves is one of the most distinctive, so take some time to wander and discover the appeal and Canarian character. If it’s a clear day, look out for Spain’s tallest mountain on the horizon. Tenerife’s Mount Teide is directly to the west.

Visit one of the greenest valleys in Gran Canaria and sample the best local produce it has to offer. The Valley de Los Berrazales is a huge, steep, fertile oasis where bananas, papayas, mangos, oranges, lemons, almonds, and subtropical plants grow in great quantity. Discover the wine cellar and garden of the Finca La Laja plantation and enjoy some wine tasting accompanied by some Canarian snacks and some home grown coffee.
