With this tour, discover the treasures of the Tramuntana Mountains, which were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Nestled in stunning scenery the true gems of Majorca can be found - Sóller, Deia and Valldemossa Enjoy a wonderful ride through lovely orange groves on the historic narrow-gauge railway "Red Lightning" and see where Majorca's first famous tourists - the composer Chopin and writer George Sand – spent a winter. The meeting point and start of our tour is the historic station at Placa Espanya in Palma. This is where the historic train line "Red Lightning" departs, linking the capital Palma with Sóller since 1912. The old-fashioned carriages make the ride through the Sierra de Tramuntana amidst lovely orange groves a fantastic experience.

After a short, guided tour of the historic town of Sóller, the tram then takes us on to Port de Sóller, the picturesque harbour with a beautiful bay. From here on, we’ll travel by road to cover the distance from Port de Sóller to the old villa of Son Marroig in Deía. Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria, who owned the land, introduced a lot of his own ideas whilst planting this and two other gardens close by.

The journey continues to the famous village of Valldemossa, with its impressive Carthusian monastery, where the composer Chopin and his lover, the writer George Sand, spent the winter of 1838/39.

This beautiful journey will stop at the following sights: Sóller - Port de Sóller - Deia - Valldemossa.
