Silfra is one of the worlds best diving spots and offers great visibility in crystal clear glacial water. This tour includes two dives between the continental plates in the UNESCO National Park of Thingvellir. This tour will definitely be a unique experience. The Silfra fissure is located directly on top of the continental rift valley that is separating the continental plates of Europe and North America. Your day will start with a pick up from Reykjavik or at the meeting point in the Thingvellir National park. After a briefing and short instructions we can start with our first dive of the day. The current in the fissure is very slow and offers enough time to explore the different lava formations. The blue color of the water and visibility are unique in the world. Often the density of the water itself limits the visibility. After the first dive you will warm up a little bit, before its time for a second dive.
