Skip the line at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, and explore the impressive art gallery at leisure. The entrance ticket gives access to all of the museum's countless treasures, so head inside to ogle some 1,500 pieces of art. Pass paintings by early-Renaissance trendsetters such as Fra Angelico, and then gaze in awe at striking paintings by the High Renaissance heavyweight Michelangelo. Spend as much time as you want inside and look out for highlights like ‘Doni Tondo’ and more. Wait lines outside Florence’s Uffizi Gallery are long, and queues can sometimes exceed two hours. Luckily for you, there’s no waiting in line with your skip-the-line ticket, so head straight inside and start exploring the incredible Uffizi Gallery at leisure.

The museum’s masterpieces are spread across some 45 different rooms inside the horseshoe-shaped Palazzo delgi Uffizi. Rammed to the rafters with artistic treasures, the gallery contains works from the times of Ancient Greece through to the 18th century, but it’s the Renaissance-era offerings that just about every visitor comes to see.

The rooms are arranged chronologically, so after weaving your way through early Renaissance gems by the likes of Fra Angelico and Giotto, amble through rooms dedicated to the big-name High Renaissance painters. Marvel at da Vinci’s Annunciation, featuring an angel and the Virgin Mary, and stand in admiration before Doni Tondo, a depiction of the holy family by Michelangelo.

See Venetian paintings by Titian, and then head upstairs to see incredible works by Caravaggio, one of the more unconventional artists of Italy’s famous Renaissance painters.

Most visitors find three hours sufficient to explore the masterpieces of the Uffizi Gallery, but you can actually stay inside for as long as you wish. Should you want to take a break from ogling the artwork, rest in the rooftop café and soak up views over the city. Food and drinks are at your own expense.
