Choose from a morning, afternoon or evening tour when you book, and then meet your guide at Florence’s Uffizi Gallery ready for your 1.5-hour tour.

Use your skip-the-line ticket to avoid the long main entrance lines and head inside the world-famous gallery. Your tour will concentrate on the highlights of its collection, made up of 1,500 pieces of artwork in 45 rooms.

Designed by Giorgio Vasari, the Uffizi was originally built to house Florence’s judiciary offices, but was gradually filled with art by the Medici family, the city’s medieval rulers. After they lost power in the 18th century, the palace became a museum.

The Uffizi is famed for its glorious Renaissance artworks, and your guide will take you to the most interesting galleries. Admire treasures by Giotto and visit halls dedicated to Michelangelo, da Vinci, Caravaggio and Raphael, all masters of their time.

Learn about works such as da Vinci’s Annunciation and Michelangelo’s Doni Tondo and explore the gallery's upper level, home to masterpieces by Caravaggio.

After around 1.5 hours, your tour ends inside the gallery. You're then free to leave or stay on to explore independently. On a morning or afternoon tour, you can also visit the Uffizi’s rooftop café for refreshments (own expense).

Evening Tour with Aperitivo or Dinner Upgrade (Tuesdays only, July to September):
If you’ve chosen an evening tour of the Uffizi Gallery, why not upgrade to enjoy an aperitivo or dinner afterward? When your tour ends, follow your guide to a restaurant in nearby Piazza della Signoria, one of the world’s most beautiful squares.

Then, say farewell to your guide and savor a classic Italian aperitivo. Sip on a drink such as a glass of prosecco and enjoy snacks such as focaccine (Italian scones).

Alternatively, upgrade to enjoy a delicious 4-course dinner. Gaze over the illuminated square as you enjoy dishes such as pasta and roasted pork (see the Itinerary for a sample menu), served with mineral water. (Other drinks at own expense).

After relaxing over dinner, make your own way back to your hotel.
