Here, you’ll check in, meet your group members and guide and even have time to partake in Rome’s timeless breakfast tradition – un caffè, cornetto & a spremuta (freshly squeezed orange juice or choice of fruit juice) to energize you for the experience ahead.
While enjoying breakfast, your (perfect!) English speaking official Vatican Tour guide will engage you with a multi-media presentation on a big screen of the Sistine Chapel. Because no one is allowed to speak once inside the chapel, this explanation is always given from outside, with most companies having you stand through the entire 30-minute presentation inside a hall of the Museums. Instead, we have organized comfortable seating and breakfast.
After breakfast & briefing on the wonders of the Sistine Chapel, you’ll head to the No Line access point of the Vatican Museums – where your pre-reserved entry guarantees a swift, easy start and introduction to the wonders within these carefully guarded walls.
Inside, you’ll come face to face with works of the masters such as Michelangelo & Rafael, as well as several iconic paintings and statues that have marked the history of art such as the Laocoon. We’ll cover all of the highlights without missing a beat, with stops at the open-air Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and even the Gallery of the Maps from where you can also admire a panoramic view of the carefully curated Vatican Gardens below.
