Your interactive audio guide will lead you through the King's State Apartment, luxurious and richly decorated, where the king lived continually in public, seen by all the Court! You will continue with the Hall of Mirrors, a beautiful gallery devoted to the glory of the king, overflowing with mirrors, marble, and an amazing painted ceiling representing all the reign of Louis XIV.
Then you will admire the Queen's Apartment. The Court usually saw the rising and retiring of the Queen in her bedchamber. Stroll through the French gardens designed by André Le Nôtre: see the superb fountains, the Orangerie and around 200 elegant statues that make the walk in the gardens simply magic.
On full day tours, you can visit Marie Antoinette's Hamlet and the Petit and Grand Trianon. This was the queen's escape to the life in court with all its rules and traditions. In this quaint, private, little farm in the countryside she had parties with friends and cultivated vegetables. Goats, ducks, geese and pigs will also welcome you.
Pick up at Versailles around 5 pm and you will be returned to your Paris hotel around 6pm after a lovely day out of the city.
