You’ll have the unique opportunity to see this breathtaking landscape in the soft light of sunset when the sun cools, the light fades, and the land is covered by the magical mantle of twilight.
In the afternoon, you’ll meet your English-speaking driver in the center of Florence, or at your centrally located accommodation, and board a comfortable air-conditioned minivan to experience for yourself what makes the Chianti one of the world’s most magnificent landscapes on this 4-hour journey of discovery.
You’ll reach the heart of the Chianti region along the panoramic route 222: the Via Chiantigiana, that winds through this stunning scenery characterized by vineyards, cypress trees and golden hilltop villages, each one more beautiful than the last, and with a glorious view around every bend.
Your first destination will be Greve in Chianti, where you’ll have 20 minutes to enjoy a short stroll through this village famous for its picturesque square and with shops selling excellent Tuscan products.
You’ll have the chance to stop for pictures - before reaching the wine estate - in the lovely little village of Montefioralle.
Next you’ll stop at a wine producing farm for a visit to their cellars. Here you’ll participate in a congenial tasting of 4 wines along with bruschetta and cheese while you enjoy this part of the world at the golden hour of sunset; when the sunlight mellows, touching the leaves and grapes of the vineyards with a golden hue and softening the hills, trees and towns so they resemble a beautiful painting (about 45 minutes).
On the way back to Florence, you’ll stop for photos in the lovely little village of Badia a Passignano where your driver will give you a little history of the location.
