Laughing Bird Caye – BelizeThis long narrow isle stands on an elongated ridge of reef known as a faro. In1996 the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System was inscribed on the World Heritage List with Laughing Bird Caye National Park designated as one of the premiere protected areas within the World Heritage Site.Your adventure begins at the lagoon side dock where you will meet your captain and guide, he will fit you with your snorkeling gear and help you on board the boat, which is a Mexican built skiff named TRICIA, this beauty will take you on a 45 minute boat ride out to sea.
Once on the island you will listen to a briefing about the island and the park system, the do's and don'ts and also you will get your starting instructions. Now It's time to hit the water, where the guide will help you putting on and fitting your equipment after a practice time for the beginners, it's off for a 45 minutes to an hour snorkel.
You will enjoy a locally prepared Belizean lunch. After lunch you will have time for some relax on the beach, sun bathing or go swimming. Then you will be ready for the last 45 minutes (maybe 1 hour) of snorkeling. Take your last memory of the island as head back to dock.
