Hop aboard the comfortable, 32-foot (10-meter) power catamaran, and head east across Pillsbury Sound to St John.
Travel along the island’s north coast — most of which is part of Virgin Islands National Park — past several bays like Hawksnest Bay, Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay. When you reach your first stop, Waterlemon Cay, put on the provided snorkeling equipment and jump into the clear turquoise water for a snorkel on the coral reef.
Return to the boat and cruise back west to Maho Bay for another snorkel — this time with sea turtles — and then visit Whistling Cay for more snorkeling on the coral reef. After three snorkeling sessions, you’ll be ready to refuel, so hop back on the boat and head to Cruz Bay, St John’s main town, where you’ll dock at the marina and wander the colorful village. The amount of free time spent on land depends on your small group, but it amounts to an hour or two.
Have lunch at a local bar or restaurant (own expense), or if you brought a packed lunch with you, find a pretty spot to have a picnic. Then explore some of the shops, if you wish, before returning to the boat.
Depending on how much time you spend in Cruz Bay, you may make one last stop at Honeymoon Beach to snorkel or swim before returning to the marina on St Thomas, where your tour ends.
Between all of your stops, simply relax on the boat, work on your tan and enjoy the warm sea breeze.
