Spend unforgettable moments, in the footsteps of the Etruscan, far from the chaos of the Eternal City, deep in the green hills of Lazio countryside: just an hour north of Rome, driving along the Via Cassia, you reach the lovely Ancient Town of Sutri, ancient Gate to the Southern Etruria. Walking around the Necropolis, one of the best preserved examples of tombs of the roman time dating back to the I sec B.C. and the III sec A.D., then you enter the amazing Amphitheatre, outstanding and unique, totally excavated in the tufa (local volcanic stone). Just a few more steps and you get into the Church of Madonna del Parto: inside the church, originally built as a Mithraeum, there is the beautiful ancient fresco representing the Nativity. Passing through Porta Furia (Furia Gate), you stroll through the medieval narrow streets an then reach the “sofa “ Square that houses the monumental fountain (18th century), an Etruscan arch on which a clock-tower was placed and that overlooks the Town Hall in whose courtyard they keep some ancient Roman epigraphs. A dip into the “Romanic epoch” visiting the Church of S. Silvestro, then you reach one of the most evocative spots with a wonderful view: the Old Wash Tub where you will enjoy a Delicious lunch with food & wine tasting.
