Get outside the city and into the kitchen with our specialty outdoor cooking classes, located at “Momma’s House” about 15 minutes outside of Kota Kinabalu city.
Meet and greet by the host at your hotel and transfer to the "Tamu" (local market) at 9.00am, our driver will pick you up from hotel along with your family member to check out the “Tamu” or local market, here you will learn how the locals buy their food.
You’ll see produce, meats, seafood and fruits all grown locally for local consumption. After the market we will send you to “Momma’s House” in one of the oldest local villages in the Kota Kinabalu area. Here you will be treated like family and learn the secret family recipes to cook like a Sabahan. Let’s eat! Taste your dishes and Momma’s dishes, eat what you cook at the house where you can interact, learn and generally get a deeper insight into family culture of Sabah.
At your leisure our driver will send you back to your hotel with a recipe book, some stories and definitely a full belly!
