These works (together with the thousands of others prized objects, furniture, textiles and objet d'art, were collected by the Theomin Family from around the world.
This 'behind the barriers' intimate guided tour allows visitors to fully appreciate works by acclaimed New Zealand painters Frances Hodgkins and her father William Hodgkins, Grace Joel, Duncan Darroch and Charles Goldie to name a few as the Theomin's had appreciated them where they hung on the walls in their own home. Other notable artists included in the collection include: Jean Baptiste Camille Corot (France), Alessandro Botticelli (Italy), Sir Frank William Brangwyn (UK), Alfred O'Keeffe (AUS/NZ), Henry Wyatt (UK), Charles Worsley (UK/NZ) and Sir William Russell Flint (UK).
