Your fun-filled adventure at the park starts with the Iron Mountains Tramway – a 4,300 ft. long, European inspired gondola that takes you to the top of the mountain in ten minutes with beautiful views out large glass windows. From the top, you will have inspiring views of the Roaring Fork Valley and surrounding snow-capped mountains. After completing the ride, you can proceed to the caverns for a 40-minute tour of either the Historic Fairy Cavern, a quarter-mile underground stroll discovered decades ago, or towards the King's Row Cave Tour, a well-lit, highly-decorated cavern with colorful views of amazing stalagmites and stalactites.
This combo does not provide access to the park, only the tram and caverns. However, from the gates it is easy to access the rest of the park and its many rides, stores, restaurants and attractions for an additional fee to round out the day. When you are ready, just head back to the gondola for the short ride down the mountain and back to your waiting automobile.
