All those in just one day: Transfagarasan Tour This tour will take the tours to the roof of Romania, on the top of the Carpathians. You'll start the tour in the morning from Sibiu, and after an hour drive you'll start to climb on the north side of the Transfagarasan road. After a a few stops on the road for taking pictures, you'll arrive at Balea lake for another photo session. After driving through a 1 kilometre long tunnel, you'll arrive in the south side of the road, in Wallachia. The drive will continue for about 1 hour and a half, when you'll stop for lunch at a restaurant located on the shores of Lake Vidraru. After that, you'll meet the next attraction of your tour, The Vidraru Dam, and after a short stop there, you'll arrive at the Fortress of Vlad the Impaler. The hike to the fortress is optional, as you need to climb 1480 to reach it. After another 30 minutes drive, you'll visit the beautiful Curtea de Arges Monastery, one of the most beautiful religious sites in Romania. You'll be back in Sibiu after 2 hours drive through the Olt Valley.
