Set in a dramatic gorge just 20 minutes’ drive from the company’s reception, this scenic hiking route passes through stretches of protected field and forest. The scenery beyond the Tugela Gorge is rivalled only by the view from the top of the Tugela Falls.
Set in a dramatic gorge just 20 minutes’ drive from the company’s reception, this scenic hiking route passes through stretches of protected field and forest. The scenery beyond the Tugela Gorge is rivalled only by the view from the top of the Tugela Falls.
This hike starts at the Royal Natal car park and follows the course of the Tugela River for some 11KM. The last few KM can be a little challenging as the path is along the river and a certain amount of bolder hopping should be expected. At the end of the trail the magnificent view of the Tugela Waterfall awaits. This excursion offers excellent photographic opportunity at a leisurely pace.
