This special multi-day package provides the opportunity to discover Florence and the scenic surroundings of the region by coach or minivan. Explore Tuscany with guided visits to Vinci, Pisa, San Gimignano, and Siena and to take in the wonderful Ligurian Coast at Cinque Terre. See the famous leaning tower, explore a medieval village, cathedrals, wineries, fishing villages and ancient Roman villas in air-conditioned comfort and style.During the first day you will visit the beautiful and historical city of Pisa on a 12-hour excursion from Florence. The guided tour begins with the visit of the stunning Piazza dei Miracoli admiring, from the exterior, the Baptistery, cathedral, and, of course, the famous Leaning Tower. The lunchtime takes place in local winery where you’ll have the chance to taste regional wines. Next, you will go in San Gimignano, a medieval village declared UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have some free time to explore the village and its beautiful squares, churches and much more. The last stop will be in Siena, where you will meet the guide and begin the tour of the city center, visiting Piazza del Campo, where the Palio di Siena horse race is run, and Piazza del Duomo, where you’ll admire both the exterior and interior of the magnificent cathedral.
On the second day you will explore the wonderful Italian Riviera, exploring the 18 kilometer stretch of Cinque Terre. Enjoy the Ligurian landscapes, the rocky coasts, beaches and caves. Visit 4 of the 5 villages, Manarola, Riomaggiore, Monterosso and Vernazza by train. The urban jewel of Manarola is characterized by its typical Genoese-style case-torri. Vernazza is overlooked by the remains of a castle and a medieval cylindrical tower dating from the 11th century. Riomaggiore, famous for its wine and its typical narrow streets. Visit the ancient fishing village of Monterosso, known as the "Pearl of Cinque Terre". You also have the opportunity to taste the local Limoncino ligure. During some free time you can take a swim or explore the heart of the village.
On the third day you have the chance to explore Florence and its surrounding areas comfortably sitting on a mini-van. The visit starts with Piazzale Michelangelo, before heading to the Etruscan and Roman town of Fiesole, situated on a hilltop overlooking Florence. During the trip back in Florence, you will see some of the lesser-known suburban areas. In the afternoon, you will explore the center of Florence on a 90-minute introductory tour walking over Ponte Vecchio, through the Uffizi Courtyard, the exterior of the Duomo Baptistery and the Baptistery's Golden Gates of Paradise.
