Located in the heart of San Diego, you can explore the USS Midway and enjoy a self-guided audio tour of 60 exhibits and over 25 aircrafts. You also have the opportunity to try out one of the flight simulators and watch a movie in the "Battle of the Midway" Theatre.
Step aboard the longest-serving Navy aircraft carrier of the 20th century and relive over 50 years of world history on the USS Midway.
On this floating museum, you will enjoy an audio tour that guides you through over 60 exhibits including the crew's sleeping quarters, the massive galley, the engine room, the ship's brig, the post office, machine shops and the bridge high above the flight deck. Keep n eye out for one of the museum docents - many of these were actually stationed on the ship at one time and have many fascinating stories to tell.
As you leave, you can pick up a souvenir onboard at the Jet Shop or enjoy a snack at the Fantail Café. You can spend all day or as long as you’d like, and then go out exploring the nearby wonders of downtown San Diego on your own. Just make sure you’re back at the Midway pick-up point at the designated time, which your driver will coordinate with you.
