Valencia has a mix of old and new buildings, giving it a real special feel of it’s own. From medieval castles and towers, to modernist and art deco architecture. Old town, beach, the City of Arts and Sciences, the Oceanographic, Turia River Park, are just some of the places we will see during this day trip.Leaving from Serranos Towers, our guide will lead you on an excellent ride around the most beautiful places of Valencia! More than 2000 years of history can be discovered in the streets of the old quarter! Starting from the historic distric “Barrio del Carmen”, we’ll visit Plaza de la Virgen,an old little square that dates back to the Roman times, Plaza de la Reina, where we can see both the Cathedral and the Tower of Miguelete.
We’ ll continue the tour reaching the Central Market, the Spain’s largest fresh food market, opened in 1928. Close to the market we’ ll find: La Lonja de la Seda, originally used for trading in silk, hence its name: Silk exchange. Last stop in the city centre: Quart Towers, remainder of the old city walls, on pair with the Torres de Serranos.

After the historic centre, we’ll visit the green and modern side of the city! Valencia has a wonderful park: Turia Gardens, the green lung of the city; one of the urban largest park in Spain. It runs through the city along 9 Km of green space. We’ll ride until the end of the bike lane inside the park and in front of us we’ll see the City of Arts and Sciences, a huge futuristic educational complex designed for Valencia by the famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, as a present to his home city.

Last special stop: port and beach! After a well-deserved fresh drink in front of the sea. During the tour you’ ll have the opportunity to take great pictures of Valencia!
