Your walk proceeds uphill for a visit to the ancient 15th century fort constructed to defend the city first from all kinds of invaders and from where you will enjoy a fabulous view over the city.
Taking the opposite side of the hill to start your walk down, you will discover just in front of you the remarkable first settlement founded by Vigo first inhabitants: the Celtics.
Continue walking down and you will reach Vigo's historic center, the narrow streets of the old city, pass by the ancient Jewish quarter and walk down 'Rua Real' (royal street) ending at the oysters market 'La Piedra'.
Before continuing make a pause to have a fresh mug of the local beer or a chilled glass of the locally produced 'Albariño' white wine, along with some typical tapas. Cheers!
