On this 2-hour walking tour you will hear the intertwined stories of romantic Grand Duke love, different wars, horrors and fighting, an executioner‘s extraordinary life in the Middle Ages and much more.When the sun goes down and Vilnius gets dark, meet your local guide with a red umbrella in central Vilnius and enjoy an evening tour full of real stories, myths and legends.

First you will get acquainted with Vilnius Cathedral and its square – the centre of the city for ages and the origins of Vilnius' foundations. Here you will see the sixth version of Cathedral with its' Gothic, Romanticism, Baroque and Classicism signs, which was the main Lithuanian Pagan Shrine in former times. Next you will see inside a magic painting of St.Casimirus and hear a mystic legend about it.

On the Western corner of the Lower castle you will listen to the tragic love story of the Lithuanian Grand Duke and his sorrow after his wife‘s death. The yard of this castle also keeps many secrets of Vilnius' various wars, diseases and graveyards.

You will hear stories of fighting at nearby Eustachy Wollowicz Palace where The Church Heritage Museum was established. Then through the Old Town courtyard you will reach Pilies street where you will see Pagan Gods and the Ragutis Shrine which is still functional today.

At Vilnius City Wall Bastion you will hear lots of different mystic legends and funny stories. Nearby you will also visit the Gates of Subacius and the main living place of the Vilnius executioner, who was an unwelcome person among local citizens and was never hired by the locals.

At the end of this tour you will reach City Hall square – the main working place of the executioner. Here took place torture, death penalty and was the main town prison.
