Waterfall Giessbach: around Lake Brienz Tour from Interlaken

After leaving Interlaken, we will stop to take photos at Boenigen, the beach of Brienz lake for a scenic view.
We will then drive From Bönigen to Isseltwald beside the lake on a small road with views to the Grandhotel Giessbach to the waterfall and Brienzlake.
We will also stop at Brienz village beside the lake while you see charming Chalets with flowers on balconies in summer and the village of woodcarvers. Drive around Brienzlake and get back to Interlaken.

Drive around Brienzlake and get back to Interlaken.Tour starts from Interlaken , driving 3 km eastwards to the smal picturesque village Bönigen. There, at the beach, we`ll stop to enjoy the breathtaking view to the almost 15 km long Brienz Lakenestling, between the panoramic mountains.
We will then pass by a small historical road driving from Boenigen to Iseltwald - the old fisher village
Continuing to the beginning of the lake - where the Aare river reach the lake , opposite of Brienz - we`ll drive up hill a small narrow road which will take us to parking place of the " Giessbach waterfall". We will give a short 5 minutes walk to the fall and you will be able to go for a beautiful walk.
Enjoy the view down from the waterfall to the historical " Grand Hotel Giessbach" - with fantastic panoramic background " the Brienzlake in front of the mountains" !
Walk down to the historical hotel,: enjoy a coffee,tea, or ice cream.and have a look to the old famous funicular to the lake. (food at own expense)
Great panoramic views also from the hotel,to the waterfall, Brienzlake and the mountains !
Tour will continue to Brienz :
In Brienz, beside the lake, 30 minutes stop to see the old charming chalets with its flowers on their balconies.Have a look to the handmade wood carved figures ( in Brienz is a woodcarving school,and many carvers are selling their products in the shops )
We`ll return to Interlaken on the northern side of Brienzlake: 18 km beside the lake on the national road -avoiding the highway-through Brienz- and passing the small villages Oberried,Niederried,Ringenberg .
