This summer, swim with the whale shark and live the experience of a lifetime! You'll have a chance to swim with a 14-meter-long animal and the biggest fish in the world. They are totally harmless, so you will be able to swim by their side in an amazing experience. During the boat trip, you may see turtles, giant manta rays, dolphins and/or many other species. It’s cool to swim with whale sharks at the Georgia Aquarium’s Ocean Voyager in Atlanta but, it’s another thrill of a much different kind to actually swim side by side with whale sharks in their natural habitat in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Don't miss this unique experience with the best crew and boats on the island.

Meet your guide and group at a central location in Holbox at 7am. Receive a small briefing and all the necessary equipment plus some light breakfast before the start of the tour. You'll head to the pier where the boat is waiting to start the trip. The duration of the trip to the find the whale sharks is approximately 1 to 2 hours. On the way, you may spot different species. If you see a giant manta ray and its behavior allows it, you can even swim this harmless creature.

Once you reach the whale shark area, you will start your swim with these gentle giants in groups of two plus a guide. This is done for safety reasons, to respect these gentle giants, and to ensure you get the best experience.

During the tour, you'll also get the catch of the day from a fisherman to prepare the freshest ceviche. On the way back, you will stop near Cabo Catoche to snorkel the “cuevones” reef and maybe see sea turtles, nurse sharks, lobsters, squids, octopuses, and different reef fish. Finally, you will go to Santa Paula, where you can stretch our legs, have a pleasant swim and enjoy the delicious ceviche. Then, you'll have a 45-minute journey back to Isla Holbox.
