Ecuador is the perfect place to experience the best white water rafting in warm tropical rivers, clean and scenic. You will experience a rafting adventure on the Pastaza River in Baños, Ecuador like no one and nowhere else. It's safe and fun!Your river rafting adventure begins as we meet at our agency at 9am. You can be picked up from your hotel to go to the office if you prefer. At the office, you will be provided with the necessary equipment for your rafting tour. Once everyone is equipped, start the 40-minute drive via private van to San Francisco Town. On the way, you can see and admire different waterfalls, such as Agoyan, Manto de la Novia, El Pailon del Diablo, along the route of the cascades.
When you arrive at the river, you will be given a safety briefing to learn what to do on the raft such as paddling commands and other tips that will keep the group safe on the river. You will practice the commands on land first before getting on the river.
Then, it is time for your rafting experience through the Pastaza River and beautiful scenery. You will raft through Class III to IV rapids, depending on the season of the year. The route through Class III rapids can be taken all year round and covers La Penal to Madre Sierra villages. Rafting on Class IV rapids can be done only from August thru May. This route passes through the upper Pastaza River and goes from San Francisco to Topo.
After an incredible hour of rafting through Class III to IV rapids, we will finish the trip in Topo where your driver will be waiting. To top-off this adventure, enjoy a well-deserved lunch at a local restaurant before returning back to Baños.
