On this tour you will spend the morning in Portsmouth (10am to 12:30pm) around the Historic Dockyard (famous Royal Navy Ships) and Gunwharf Quays area for its shopping and entertainment like the Spinnaker Tower attraction.

You then take a short journey to our next destination the city of Winchester. You start with a tour of the city from about 1.30pm to 2.30pm followed by free time for visiting any attractions such as the cathedral, city museum or Great Hall or the many fine shops. Departure will be late afternoon arriving back home early evening.

Departure will be late afternoon arriving back home early evening.You will be picked up from a centrally located meeting point in Oxford, and will be taken on this tour where you will spend the morning in Portsmouth (10am to 12:30pm) around the Historic Dockyard (famous Royal Navy Ships) and Gunwharf Quays area for its shopping and entertainment like the Spinnaker Tower attraction. Please note entrance fees to attractions come at own expense.

Portsmouth is a very old historic city on the south coast of England and has been the home of the Royal Navy for over 500 years. On arrival in Portsmouth your guide will show you some of the oldest parts of the city along with some of the newest. Your guide will take you into the old historic dockyard and tell you about some of the historic ships that you can see (entrance inside the ships is an extra charge).

After the dockyard you will see one of the newest structures in the city, the Spinnaker Tower, the tower is 550ft tall and you can access the viewing platform by lift (admission not included) to get wonderful views of the city and along the coast. Portsmouth also has some great shops and entertainment available in the Gunwharf Quays Shopping Centre. You will have a chance to visit the Portsmouth Museum and learn about Sherlock Holmes and its interesting history.

Ancient English Capital, Winchester is a city and the county town of Hampshire. It was capital of the Kingdom of England from 801 until 1066. The present form of the city dates to reconstruction in the late 9th century, when King Alfred the Great obliterated the Roman street plan in favour of a new structure to provide better defence against the Vikings.

Winchester is a charming and handsome city and one of the most desirable places to live in England. Popular for its quaint style and architecture. It is most well known for its 11th century Winchester Cathedral and for the Great Hall (Winchester Castle) which showcases the mysterious Round Table from the legend of the "Knights of the Round Table". It also has in an former unfinished palace now transformed into Military Museums. It also has the house and resting place of Jane Austen, one of Englands greatest writers.

From Winchester, the departure will be late afternoon arriving back home early evening.
