The World Heritage Gokayama Light-Up Event Including Visit to Takayama From Nagoya

Once you meet at the designated meeting point, you will be transferred to Takayama. Once there, you can enjoy the shopping, and spend time walking around the old town experiencing the majestic views of one of Japan’s old villages for about 70-minutes.

Afterwards, continue to the World Heritage city of Gokayama, located in Gifu prefecture. Enjoy the old village which is made up of many Gassho-zukuri farm house. Gassho-zukuri refers to the building's roof which resembles two palms in the prayer position which in Japanese is called "Gassho."

Once the sky becomes dark, it is time to head to the main event in the village of Gokayama. The village comes alive as the sun sets, and candle-light lights up the houses. There is a traditional dance show and music performance called “Kokiriko-bushi" and "Sasara Odori” that will take place, as well. At the end of the evening, you will be transferred back to Nagoya.
