Xin Cheng market is a very remote location and untouched by tourists. You will have chance to see one of the biggest and colorful markets in the north of Vietnam as well as visit some typical mountainous villages inhabited by ethnic minorities such as the Tay, the Flower H’mong and the Nung.You will commence the trip from Lao Cai to the amazing Xin Cheng market. The drive to the market takes quite a bit but in return it goes through mountainous areas offering breathtaking views. You arrive at the market when a wide range of local products are already shown up. This is one of the biggest and most colorful markets in the north of Vietnam. The ethnic minority groups such as the Flower H’mong, Phu La, Si La, Tay and Black Dao gather here every Wednesday. Many people, who come from far away villages, have been starting their journey on foot from midnight, with sleeping babies wrapped on their backs, or carrying bamboo baskets full of forest or farm products. For many of them, the market is the most special day of a week that cannot be missed. You will enjoy picnic lunch at the market (not included). In the afternoon, on your journey back, you will visit one or if time permits, more of minority villages.
