An all-inclusive 2-hour tutored beer tasting and pub tour that offers you a chance to taste some of Yorkshire's best beers accompanied with light bar snacks. The tasting and tour are hosted by an experienced brewer and beer sommelier.The tour is split in two distinct parts. The 2-hour session will start with a one-hour tutored tasting of eight of Yorkshire's very best beers and includes some light Yorkshire bar snacks. The group will then move on to sample different Yorkshire beers in four of the finest pubs in the beautiful city of York.
Participants will learn about the regions brewing heritage and how beer is made. By the end of the session participants will have sampled twelve different beers and should understand the art of beer tasting.
The tour starts at 1pm at Walmgate Ale House and Bistro in York city centre for the tasting session. Participants will learn about Yorkshire brewing history and beer making. There will be eight samples of beer from eight of Yorkshire best breweries.
At 2pm the group will move on to visit four of York's finest pubs to sample a different Yorkshire beer in each. There will be approximately 1 kilometre worth of walking during the tour session. Each pub visit will last between 25-30 minutes.
The tour will finish at 4pm at a city centre pub.
